Joel Fortney, our Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer, is a highly experienced financial executive and investor with the spirit of an entrepreneur. His expertise lies in crafting enduring relationships and tailoring financial solutions that bring ambitions to life.

Biography

Joel serves as Owner, CEO, and CFO across a portfolio of private companies. Prior to co-founding Koios, he served as CEO of Stategy Capital, Portfolio Manager of U.S. Equities at Principal Global Investors managing over $6 billion in assets, and Equity Research Analyst at Principal Global Investors specializing in Financial Services and REITs. His career expertise spans both quantitative and qualitative investment disciplines, working throughout his career to leverage the benefits of systematic investing techniques, technological innovation and empirical research.
